    Help me be awesome!

Hey there I have acquired a zxr250 model c in perfect condition with factory paintjob. Its in great shape, cosmetics as well as the engine. As this is my first kawa, is there any mods or things I can do to enhance the preformance and feel of the bike. Nothing too crazy, just someone might have a few tricks from previously owning the same bike. I will post pics of my new 'B.B.F.'

Note: I should of wrote its my first kawasaki 250, I have had a kr150 before that

The best thing you can do is keep the shiny side uppermost. No good having an 'awesome' bike if a few months down the road it's covered in battle scars.

Oh - and congrats on your new ride.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    What Vifferman said......plus

first you need to learn to ride your bike, this I mean getting the max out of your bike in its current form, its you the rider and the understanding you having how your bike work's that will make you a better rider ....you can bling and mod your bike but if you can't ride it,your wasting your money

Best thing you can do is invest your money in petrol and clock up the hours developing your riding skills

Congrats on your bike enjoy the summer

Forget increasing the performance on your bike(except maybe insure your suspension is setup correctly) for now and concentrate on your riding skills and keeping your bike right side up.

    Cheers

Yeah I was being silly about being awesome (as I already am ), I'm well over the 400 dollar boy racer car phase. But cheers for the info, i agree with invest time into learning the bike as every ride is different. What sort of suspension (adjustable if possible) is best for Kawasaki and also what tires should i save my penny's for? (most riding is done on warm days, but also a few when raining and the terrain is just normal road tarmac) cheers

Get someone in Wgtn (plenty of experts down there) to show you how too set your standard suspension up for your weight and riding style

Tires are a personal thing your be told what to get what not to get by different people What do you have on the bike now?? and what is your budget??

I had pirelli sport demons on my 250, i pushed them as hard as I could and was never disappointed, I've even seen them on some classic race bikes and they held together, not bad in price either..

Yup just get out and ride you bike a whole lot, I think you should take advice (about how to ride) with a grain of salt, as everyone has there own bad habits..

Most importantly, enjoy yo self fool !

I think my mate said the back is a demon perilli? or soemthign along the lines, unsure on front but they could both do with a tire change within like a few thousand ks

+2 on the sport demons. Increase your own riding skill, figure eights in a carpark and such. Suspension set up is another good place to go too.

No one goes slow enough on the road to benifit from figure 8's in a carpark. Only helps with parking the bike and maybe round a bouts.

You can put a larger sprocket on the rear, and a smaller one on the front, then it'll wheelie easy as.

Not sure if the susspension is adjustable, but it'd pay to have it fully rebuilt by robert taylor. IT will make you faster
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
