    The Bastards

Who saw TV3's 6pm news? The bastards. They managed to get a camera crew to film one of ours who got trashed by a cager as he was leaving the meeting. Did they show anything of the meeting? No. The bastards.

But it was okay to show yet another biker down......Damn bikers, costing ACC all that money. Oh yeah. They clearly being paid to push the National Party line.

Protest TV3. Write to the news editor. Tell him what a twit he is. Get your boss to pull TV3 advertising. Refuse to watch TV3. Tell them why.

I know!! I saw it too! TV 1 gave an awesome report of the protests in Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland and all TV 3 came up with was a whole lot of footage of a rider who had been injured!

Nice to see ACCSUX adding his comments to the story. Anyway the article seems to make it seem the biker was at fault by saying "...biker hit car..." but since I wasn't there I wouldn't know who was at fault there.

That is ironic what both channels screened.
Have to say though that Phil Goff is developing a personality.

Fark! When you have some info, you certainly get to appreciate how one-sided news reporting can be!

The shirts look bloody good though!!

    There their problem was

Too busy focusing on the "Harley" riders :P

Should be more focused on the meeting itself

Does any one know what actually happened in this accident? or what car was invloved? was it the white one in the foreground? There does appear to be wet patches infront of it

Do a bit of a search on here......
    Anyhow:
45 year old Asian guy named Jock apparently lost the front on a tightening radius bend. Hit the car....
Bloody poor timing..... Oh and incident didn't really have much to do with the protest either!

You can't blame the TV people.

It's news. That's what they do

Guy went to a meeting bitching that ACC claim bikers crash too much. And crashed. TV says "that's news". And so it is. I'd have played it if I'd been them.

Let's just thank our lucky stars they didn't follow it up with an ACC spokesperson telling the world just how much that crash would cost ACC , and comparing it to the levy paid by the rider. That would *really* have looked bad. And that's just what I'd have done if I'd been the producer. Not cos I hated bikes, but cos that's news.

Best way to deal with this sort of thing?

    DON'T FUCKIN' CRASH!

Slow the fuck down and don't try to be Rossi. He doesn't have to apy ACC. We do.

Just sent this to 3 News

"Just caught up with the 6pm news. There was a whole lot of stuff you guys could have shown. But instead, You chose to show the 10 seconds about ONE rider getting collected by a car. All i can say is well fu***ng done.. I will be watching ONE NEWS from now on seeing as they actually showed INFORMATION about the protests.

Tell the Editors/Big boss man/Whoever that not only have they angered some bikers, But some are now going to watch ONE NEWS.

Whilst Ixion of course is absolutely right, it just confirms to me the reasons I switched in the last election campaign from being a long-time 3 viewer to 1 viewer as news goes.

TV3 just aren't really interested in telling about what happened; it's all about their "angle" on the story. To be expected from a tv company which relies on ratings for their survival.

Face it, people like this kind of stuff.

OTOH, I loved the "Who's next" patches on the back of the jackets. Works brilliantly.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

As an aside, be careful what you say on KB.

DomPost was running in "Last Word" yesterday a story about how kiwibiker is advocating motorcyclists should report all accidents as "mountainbike accidents" in emergency rooms nationwide.

We are being watched, a lot.
