You might need to reconnect that.
If the bike still runs it may be in some sort of "limp home" mode.

Surely the bike is still under warranty?? Take it back and get it fixed. The TPS is Throttle position sensor. This tells the CDI to change the spark timing depending on throttle opening. Will run without it but will run better with it apparently.
