Due to this we have no choice but to open ACC up to competition from the private sector."

We are doing exactly what they expect / want us to do but what other options do we have.
See, here's the thing, it's political..
My old mate had a saying, went like this...
"if you hit them hard enough...you knock em out..
and then they are on the ground see?
And then they have to go to hospital, and they don't never bovver you again"
    Two things ,
    1. he was from the east end of London, my mate, and a bit on the big side. Therefore always right.
    2. It rhymes.
    All good eh?

2 steps forward, one step back... they'll get a huge increase, but not as large as they pretended they needed... then everyone will feel all warm and fuzzy that they showed those pollies how strong we the people are... and National will still be laughing,at the end of the day

0% is what I am hopeful to expect and am with Stoney on the idea that if full exposure to the ACC bullshit happens even a reduction!

A fair, evenly distributed levy for all motorists. Not targeting minority groups

If too many vote 100% increase (double what you are paying now) then this could be seen as an acceptable compromise by ACC and the government.
The only acceptable increase is zero or negative.

The dust shall never settle until this ridiculous levy increase is abolished. Unfortunately thatll probably be when it all goes private though.

I think National runs the risk of losing power if they push this through. And not just because it is a big increase and a hit to bikers... they will push another special interest group and then another and all of a sudden their voting block will have diminished greatly. I would say there are many National voters that are bikers. This will hit National where it really hurts. Their seat - seat of power.

Even if they don't back down now - they may find themselves in opposition thinking how it all went wrong.

And that formed part of our address on Saturday.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Where is the poll option of "DECREASE"??

Start rewarding those who do not put in claims to acc. The amount I've paid over the years and never made a claim... I want my money back!
