    I Just Bought a $16000 T-Shirt!

But it came with a really cheap bike.

I picked up my RED Daytona 650 last night and got a classy ladies-cut t-shirt with Triumph printed all over the front. 3kms on the clock when I picked it up! My first ever brand-spanking-new vehicle. What a rush!

And today has dawned fair, with beautiful blue skies. Shame I had to come to work, but now there's a loan to pay off. On the plus side, the money from my win appeared in my savings account overnight, so the $10,000 loan I drew on last night has just been cut in half.

And I'm ashamed to say that after 6.5 years of faithful service, I'm not missing my old beast at all. Probably swallowed up in the excitement of the new purchase.

    So drinks are on me.

Nice - congrats. Oh and use NZ Couriers with a note to not shake the parcel too much
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    Congratulations on the new purchase!

Would it be true to say that you are the first and only KB'r to own one of those bikes?

    Well done!

Great choice of bike. The extra 50cc on the previous model has alledgedl made a marked improvment over the 600cc version.

    Enjoy

enjoy.. I nearly bought a yellow 650 when I was looking around and bought mine. Only reason I didn't buy it is I had already put down a deposit on the 636 before I saw the 650. So I darent ride it, just incase I liked it as much as the 636.. very sexy bikes in their way, and the extra 50cc really helps them apparently.

    enjoy

There, there my friend. It's ok. Relax, count to ten, then repeat after me, " I will sell parts of my body on Tradme so that I can afford a new bike".

I did. While this time tomorrow I may also have a brand new bike, I'm still wondering how I'm going to manage to change gear......

I haven't been here 6 months yet, so no sick leave owing to me.

    Wari -

ZXR - I'm 33 years old. One day you too will get to buy your dream bike brand-spanking-new too.

Bug & others - the extra 50cc definitely makes the difference. I rode the 600 last year & didn't buy because of that lack of power in the mid-range. The 650 has definitely fixed that problem & it's a sweet bike to ride. I rode the 636 last year too, and it's a sweet bike, but the ergonomics were just wrong for my back. I'm sure you're not missing out on anything.

Yeah, it caught up to the R6 in peak HP and Torque

Lovely bike though - I really like the lines, and the solid colours look really classy.

Hope you have heaps of fun Slim.
