While unhappy with the TV3 news last night I am stoked One news have dropped the often righthand 'pro governments side' reporting style I am used to

The media right has come out totally open minded in our cause
TVNZ are placing a shitload of money down on Tuesday

Chopper cams, 6 or more roaming news teams, 2 stage camera's, their no 1 news squads at parliament.....

Newstalk have gotten both Les and myself in interviews, and our Hamilton organizer got good airtime with them too

The perception I used to have of TVNZ and Newstalk has really changed....used to think of news in a 'right n left' manner and had always tended toward TV3...until last night

TV3 have not even replied to my requests for Tuesdays coverage support....

    TVNZ hired a chopper

    Says a lot....

    Protesting biker breaks leg

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/ar...ectid=10609369

One of the 300 motorcyclists protesting against ACC changes, at the Auckland Domain yesterday, had need for the service after coming off his bike and breaking his leg.

The biker hit a car after leaving the domain, where Labour leader Phil Goff spoke against a levy increase from $252 to $735 for riders of machines over 600cc.

Probably a 'typical' (as in common) serious injury.

What would now be good is to track his injury costs to see how much it really does cost ACC.

    As an aside...

While this was mentioned, just north of Papakura some dumb fek car drivers smashed into each on on the south bound carriageway as you guys were going north! (Er, I was idiot in the truck waving ) On way back northwards after loading up, there were a couple more "incidents" of "paired" cars on the carriageway in the tail back Hopefully these incidents will not be reported as bike related accidents!!! The police were well busy dealing with all the car carnage!

Thumbs down I would've showed it

It's funny, I mean going to protest about increase in ACC becuase we're being unfairly picked on based on our risk - and some clown hits a car and brakes his leg - that's bloody funny
two guys who were riding back from the Auckland protest got tickets for speeding - thats funny

One of the organisers in the Hamilton area for the protest is waiting to face charges of dangerous driving - thats funny too

On the way home from the Dunedin protest one rider fell off in his driveway - thats funny too

can't wait to see how many tickets get issued and how many fall off on their way to the Wellington protest over the next few days - bet the police will be looking give any feedback to the media

maybe the fees should go up = we're a pack of dangerous bastards really
Lifes Just one big ride - buckle up or hang on

Oh you can bet the police will have ticket books out ... things to make sure we don't do include:

Not being on a registered/warrented bike
    Not have a valid license
Speeding - would be hard in this group - but still
Riding stupidly - this would go down as dangerous riding

Not leaving the protest and riding into a fucking car could be added to your list too.

That video won't play when I try it (black box where it should be) but other video on their site does. Do they usually pull the new bulletin after less than a day? Or have they pulled it to stop us seeing it??

Anyone get a version offline e.g. using Orbit Downloader?

And the media assumes ACC is going to be claimed? The guy might have have private income insurance and no need of ACC...media making big assumptions

It would not surprise me in the slightest to learn that TV3 had been paid to play that bit of "news". They have a long history of reporting distorted bullshit fed to them by the Nat's and the Business Round Table, and totally refusing to acknowledge that another side to the story even exists. I have not bothered with them for over 20 years now.
TV3 are the scum that floats on top of the cess pit that is the news media in this country.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
