Will the sale include the block of wood under the side stand? Firewoods not cheap this winter

IMO - The DRs are excellent machines. It just takes a while to get used back used to the slower balance and momentum of road bikes again.

Beginners adv bike my arse - I'd happily still own one! Mongrel's Adv bike perhaps? But yeah, not a road bike (despire doing the DB1k on it!) Good luck with it man.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

I'd really like to have a go at a 3-hour cross country on one.

See how it stacks up to the current cross country weapon.

Do you mean a current cross country weapon or your current cross country weapon?

Dunno. That's a solid block of Rimu. I may have to change extra for that.

That would be taking the piss a bit on a 10000 km bike.

Actualy, I ran out of time to do all that.
