Just got my learners!

and considering getting either a

1.Aprilia RS250...they look so good!!
2.Suzuki GSX...
3.Yamaha FZR-R
4.Honda CBR250RR
5.Suzuki GSXR250RR.
6.Honda NSR250.

I like all the above bikes,the only thing i know is the Aprilia would be extremely fast with 72hp..and I may kill myself......

So which one should i purchase?

onya mate.....My choice of those would be the GSX, they are relatively forgiving....and plenty about too...or have ya considered the Kawasaki Ninja?

I have had a look at a few Ninjas on trademe...at the moment i really like the GSXR250RR...but will take yer advice and check out some GSX's.

gratz man now join the club for my learners about 3-4 weeks ago still no bike getting your license is the easy part finding the right bike for you at the right price is hard bit.
I change my mind on what bike I what about ever 2 days I think.

I am hoping next couple week I will have my bike.

Then you have all you all gear as well but fun though got most of my gear now.

or do ya have to have the full fairing wana be bike?
just find what ya like riding! the rs if you want to go fast is the bike to get

Yeah it's pretty much between the honda,yamaha and the suzuki now.

I reckon the Aprilia is too hardcore for a learner.

Congrats on your learners!!
Now how long you reckon you going to keep your 250? Long enough to upgrade or you going to have it for longer than that?

If you planning to flick it as soon as your times up then get something you won’t lose money on and will get you around safely.
If you’re going to keep it for longer then get what you want, after all YOUR riding it, or do you let your mates pick who you go out with to?

Long and short of what I’m on about is make it cheep if you’re going to flick it after your time, looks aren’t important just not so cheap you’re never riding it only repairing it. Get something you like if you’re going to keep it for longer, and do a few test rides you’d be surprised how different some bikes feel, stop and go.

Well have a found a 1990 FZR I am real keen on all is sorted going to look at it tomorrow morning and hopefully be coming how for H town with it if its as good as looks wont be riding it back though on the back of the ute its goes.

gear is all sorted ( boots gloves) just have my new jacket pants and helmet to pick up tomorrow avro and should be good to go.

Hmm there doesn't seem to be that many bikes on sale at the moment...I wanted a 2002 GSX250FX,but someone got there before me..

I'm now trying to avoid bikes like the FZR,CBR,GSXRR,cos they are getting a little old...so I'm looking at Kawasaki GPX's,Suzuki Bandit's...

I do want an inline four really..are there any advantages to have a V-Twin?

PS,i really don't want a ginny,it just looks too old fashioned for me......
