To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
i did this a few years ago. get the spokes from your local shop.
its not hard just a bit time consuming. i priced getting it done by and it was not cost effective
it doesnt need to be perfectly true as its a kids bike and the rim is possibly a bit out too. you can get it pretty close , witin 2-3 mm, in a shed.put it on the axle in a vise and adjust of a fixed point until its true.
your local shop mech should be willing to explain it when you order the spokes
give it a go
good luck
I did mine, you just take them out in the pairs they sit in. my wheel had less than 1thou buckle in the end. Its only a JR50 so not going lightening speeds too......
again, its not hard.
it is a really simple task to re spoke a wheel, even from scratch
Really good wheel builder from the old school. Tom Morris @ wheel&spoke services 09-5760312 (Pakuranga, Auckland) has done afew wheels for me road and off road, hard to fault.
