Pretty sure the clutch is pulled in - engine noise dies and revs drop, plus theres a noticable noise when it's released. Strange way to corner.

Doesn't matter, he'll be dead soon

Perhaps i missed it could someone tell me at what point in the video this happens? From what i see he slams on the rear brake into almost every corner which is why the bike gets so sideways. This causes the revs to drop and when he releases the brake the revs rise again.

Hmm could be I guess - never thought of that. There is a bit where he's passing a car (blind corner one coming at him I think) and the revs are down where I'd expect to see them screaming. It's like he's passing under shear momentum (probably 100 mph!).

Farked if I know really - I would have crashed on the second corner at those speeds

As he comes in it's clutch out, the engine basically stalls as he locks the brake, starts again as he lets the brake out, it's a direct drive thing.

    IMO anyway

If I was on a bike going the opposite direction and any bike cutting over on the other side of the road was in front of me just being a absolute arsehole, and i had the chance to come across him somewhere I would have no absolutely no hesitation plunging my hard knuckled motorcycle glove right into his muggins...no hesitation at all, and i would do it...yeah.

I bow to the skills though, impressive stuff!
Shame the gsxr rear tyre went off though, but dam go the Ducati

    That's some skills right there!
Dam fine riding, power slides on a gsx whilst racing excellent skills, unless you've done it you don't know how hard it actually is!

Racing on public roads.... a little bit of stupidity guys.. bad form crossing them lines go find yourself a motorcycle club and put it on the track, do yourself and other road users a favour, your giving us a bad name!

    Fine riding? Power slides? GSX-R?

How often have you ever seen the moto-gp guys do power slides? Into the corner. In the dry.

You do realise, I hope, that the sliding you see the GSX-R do is due to rear-wheel lock-up (and I am assuming that they have a slipper clutch, so it would be the rear brake too) coming into the corner? That won't gain you anything in itself - except upsetting the balance of the bike - and it will most likely make you slower. Excellent skills? Nah, just poor judgement - or showing off.

Not totally sure if this has been linked before but I really don't think there is anything like this one.

Ducati 999 and a GSXR pushing to the extremes on the road. Huge lean angles, drifting, stunts, high speed, going over the center line on blind corners, lane splitting in corners with oncoming traffic...

Are these guys still alive? There is a time and a place for that type of riding and it sure isn't where they were. Makes for great watching! Does anyone know anything behind this video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBneH...eature=related Also some insane Japanese riders (mind the music lol!) pulling some crazy lean angles with a comforting concrete wall right next to them... madness. One guy almost loses it at 50 seconds highsiding into the wall.

    Worth the watch.
Looks a little tamer than the onboard footage i saw from the corro loop. Only difference being the kiwis were keeping it (mostly) in their lane.

I just loved the parts where they thought the fastest part through a corner was a straight line. What ya gonna do when you get to the other side - fucking nancy hovering over the brake because they are as smooth as a fingernail milkshake

I detect a load of over inflated egos in this thread... holy shit guys, you don't have to try prove they are inferior to you, you know! It's plainly obvious they are just showing off, skidding about and having some mindless fun... albeit rather too rediculously. If you can't see that then get off your high horse lol! Like the fastbikes video, these guys are very skilled riders... very familiar with the limits of the bike and would most likely destroy all here on the track. Anyway, the ones up top usually are a bit nutty anyway!
