You know where the Brooklyn Windmill is? If not, it's off Ashton Fitchett Drive (I think thats what it's called). Head to the Windmill then just past it will be a large steel gate. Ring the number on the board next to the gate and they will open the gate for you. Keep heading down till you see a sign about the MX track, follow that right and down the hill some more. Then you'll come up and go past the Slipway drift track, keep going further still and eventually you'll get to the house where ya pay and sign the waiver. Then the track is just up the hill from there.

Would be keen for a jam but I'm still nursing a nastily broken hand. This weekend will only be 3 weeks and I promised myself I'd wait 4 at least.... Not to mention it's still swollen and multi coloured

any body heading up to that track by the windmill tomorrow, ive never been up there before so dont know what its like, is there trails or is it just mx track. im new to biking so still not the best rider.

I did the Totara Park TR and was bloody pleased I put a new rear tyre on - that clay is very greasy. Managed to do 3 loops before exhaustation set in. Saw WuZards there.

I managed to do one and a quarter

Broke the front brake leaver on my second loop, so had to dificultly make my way back to the hill top. Was an awesome ride tho.

just for info. Kapi Mana motorcycle club have practice nights every wednesday (except the wednesday before club days). runs from 4.30 to about 7pm at $20 per rider. Its good to have a blat round the track and also check out what the club is all about and meet members. go to the site as you need to text the track guy as there are limited numbers allowed due to council requirements. www.kmmc.co.nz
