Hehe that's one of the reasons I like the Virago. The bars on other cruisers are too wide for comfort or to low and I dont like a bif fat front tire. The only one that comes close to it is the Honda Shadow Spirit. Almost baught one of those instead.

More to the point is that a 1200cc HD V-Rod is being compaired to 2 Litre super cruisers and the HD comes out overall on top.

What do you expect when the basic design for the engine comes from Racing supersports?

They hardly ever look like the concept drawings but it should be close. I hope they change the headlight casing, still think it's ugly. But that just means I wont buy one. I wonder what the Shadow will look like next year...

Admit I was wrong about the supersports but the V-rod engine did start out on the track. They took the design from one of thier race bikes and as far as where I got this info, was on Discovery Channel a little before the v-rod hit the streets.

That's better. AMA Superbike is where the engine is derived from.

Then they sent it to them Germans at Porsche to dumb down for the masses. A V-Rod engine during development had to last 500 hours, flat chat, at full load on a dyno before HD would aprove the final build spec.

We have not seen a SINGLE MECHANICAL FAILURE on a VRSC motor.

    That is engineering excellence people.
