    Intiminators/Vibranators

Those that got some Intiminators should have received an e-mail saying that if they put up a review they can get 50% off Vibranators until the 27th Nov.

    I've ordered 2 pair

Are these Intiminator things worth it. That's a lot of coin. Would I be better to find some real shocks elsewhere and bolt those on?

Sounds like something you'd leave with the missus while you're out riding...
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Yes bart inimatemunters are very good in my experience, the front stays much more planted and I don't think i have bottomed the front out since being fitted, and i had extra springs in before. The only thing I don't like is when the front wheel hits the ground after being up or when landing there is an initial shock through the bars that wasn't there before.

But holy shitcakes Batman, that's a lot of coin. $430+ from the website I was looking at.

Surely if you rock up to a wreckers with that kind of coin, you could walk away with a couple of shocks. Admittedly, most wrecked bikes are wrecked from the front backwards, but that seems like a lot for a couple of valve things.

Maybe I will butcher the DRZ. Wonder if anyone would notice if I switched the front ends over and dropped the price by five hundy.......no, I'm not quite that devious.

Mine only cost $usd150 plus freight so were not too bad. $264 in total iirc. They were half price if you typed in klr650.net but arent sure if there is a dr version.

There are a few klrs running round with drz front ends, in fact I am pretty sure there is a kit you can get to do it somewhere, and if you think your forks are bad try riding a standard klr one day.

    http://www.kientech.com/Intiminators.htm
    $210 US

If you can get a complete DRZ front end (wheel/triples/forks) then it'll bolt up no problem apart from having to use the tiny DRZ brake rotor.

If I was doing it over I'd still get the Intiminators.

    Well.....you're the DR650 expert.

Guess what I'm asking the missus for for x-mas.

I'm after a pair of Vibranators for my alloy bars - maybe even a set for bars with barkbusters as well, if they're half price. But I lack an Intiminator order to review...

Anyone else planning on placing an order?

    Cheers - Chasio

Marks, Padmei or Woodman may be able to help there...
