You guys never let a chance go by do yous?. Anyway even though I don't really suffer from hand vibration a lot, probarbly cos I don't do a lot of road miles I have ordered some vibrating minties cos I plan on doing more road miles. They were bloody cheap and I didn't even have to write up a review, just put the word "feedback" in the gap.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

I was a good boy and wrote a review.
I do 20,000km a year and yesterday had a good look at how much the bars vibrate and was surprised how much they do.

The XR will benefit as well.

I could do with some of those dooverlackys in my mtb handlebars... my hands often go numb/tingly. Never have any issues with the 640 though???
    Cheers,

Apparently 640 ktms are incredibly smooth and unvibratery.

It's more that they are a big low-frequency thumper, which is probably easier to deal with. High-frequency stuff like power tools upset my hands.

we've been doing quite a bit of research into vibration reduction (on the assumption that my sons recently acquired and as yet unridden 250sx (dinger) will vibrate worse than the kdx.

Ricor now make bar end weights to work with the vibranators (we have a set on the way - complements of ricor)

We are also going to try filling the bars with lead shot - apparently that makes a big difference on some bikes and we have also got hold of a set of ktm hard parts PHDS vibration damping handle bar mounts.

Going to be a fair bit of experimenting going on.....

There's a fair bit of stuff in the KTM LC4 (640) Index Thread.

Yes, well my 200EXC certainly has a lot of buzziness not apparent on the big thumper. Every time I get on it, I wonder whether the ppl that moan endlessly about the vibes on the 640 could ever ride a proper dirt bike.
    Cheers,
    Colin

you can tell you've been riding a hi-po 2 stroke if your hands are numb
you can tell you've been riding an lc4 if you don't have any more fillings left in your teeth.

well they are oh so smooth and comfortable - to the point of being pretty hopeless off road if you want to do any more than just 'tootle'.
