I believe the increase is the smaller picture.
I think the bigger picture is the end of ACC

    This will be bad.
We will have to have private insurance.
We (I mean everyone) will be open to being sued.

We will lose the cover for the time you injure your self at home
    NO ACC
The time you hurt your self at a social sports game
    NO ACC
    Work accident
    NO ACC
    Vehicle accident
    NO ACC

I think this is about slowly eroding ACC bit by bit. The levy increase is a smoke screen. It is phase one.

Watch National. More to come. Or less depending on where you stand. Insurance business is set to win. Legal sector is set to win. Joe Public is set to lose.

    So for me.

    NO INCREASE

    SAVE ACC

But you have just singled out a group in that statement, people with a license... why just vehicles/licenses/registrations??? The scheme benefits everyone at a cost to the few.

A price i'm happy to pay, but i won't pay any unjustified costs and by justification i'm not talking about risk, i'm talking about some fuckwit getting a report seriously wrong (intentionally maybe???) and then acting on it because it says so in black and white!
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

    What he said!
The bike increases are a cunning smoke screen to divert everyones attention from whats happening to the body of ACC - a loud marginal group diversion taking the heat of the governments real agendas.....

Maybe we should change our battle cry...that'll confuse a lot of people.

With ya though. I was all for privatisation until I dug a little deeper. It is almost like they are trying to kill it and push a certain view on Joe Public so we'll roll over for them.

Of course, this is conspiracy theory at it's best. If they're doing something that elaborate then, to be honest, I admire the long term vision.

    But it ain't gonna fly

"No Fault" means the cause of the accident isn't relevant. It doesn't mean "No Risk".
