Maybe we should push the "u-turn? What u-turn" angle... I agree we need to get lots of bike - and we might have a small amount of resistance from some that have just been down to welly

    Will be there!

There are ~210 people on the kiwibiker facebook page. Perhaps someone could send a message to all members advertising this event to boost numbers?

There may be some resistance from the Welly riders (understandably), but a lot of us couldn't make that trip. This one on the other hand...

bloody hell you people move fast. in the time it took me to take my daughter to the doctor and get a DVD this has grown from a 1 page thread to 5 pages and it is plastered all over the lunchtime news.
Will see if i can make it. will have to see if i can pawn the kids off on someone and take the wife out for breakfast.
    any volunteers for babysitting?

I think if the wellington protesters want to take a day off thats fair enough, I'm sure there is enough of us that couldn't get there yesterday will want to be part of this to keep the momentum going.

yeah my has said i will pay for going down to wellington for the next 2 months or so. despite the fact i rode back from welly last night to rescue her from our children. am hoping that this will smooth things over and she will feel like my wife again and not the other woman to the bike ROFL

Sweet - 'Tanks convoy' is now 5 bikes (confirmed) and I will phone a couple of others this evening.

BTW MOM - I told them all that you were shouting a full English breakfast for each rider - may pay to keep a low profile around feeding time ;-)

Just a note for anyone planning their own "disruption parking" on Saturday in the CBD itself - the "I wanna beat my kids" march is happening down Queen St.

This Sunday Mission Bay - count me in - agree this needs lots of publicity (TV, placards, leaflets etc) on the day otherwise pissed off cagers won't figure out that ACC levies will make traffic and parking congestion worse

ps Mission Bay cafe (directly across the road from the main carpark entrance) has the best coffee

pss there are no parking meters except in the private offstreet carparks

Bring all your scooter friends, it affects them as much as it does us
