Do ya reckon we are still being fitted up!

All this talk of "there still will be increases" by Nick Smith and maybe they won't be as much as the ACC recommendations put forward?? By John Key.

They are testing what figure to go for! I still reckon its a fit up and we will see increases about 1/2 what they are saying now! Which was always the intention, as previously stated here by a few people.

Every one I speak to starts saying this group should pay up or that lot should pay as much as us! Thats bikers and non bikers. Everyone always jumps straight over the initial ACC aims.

Bet you in the near future we will see a reduced figure (possibly non cc based) put forward!!!

Is the fight still for a no fault system? What do ya reckon???

    Now is negotiation time.

Already. If other groups and sports arnt penalised by levies at all, why should bikers wear an increase on what they already pay?

Fuck your pussy toot to visit them and have tea.
Something EVERYONE can do is simply not pay - supply and demand. If we remove the demand 'market forces' state the price is too high, and will drop it or not survive.

There is NO NEED for an increase in any ACC fees. For anyone! All remember: ACC made a ONE BILLION surplus. If any organisation anywhere in the world is making such a profit each and everyone in charge of that organisation gets full marks.

I say: REDUCE OUR ACC LEVIES!!!

May the bridges I burn light the way.

We all know that no increase is required, and what I want is at least... leave it as it is...

at the most to take on and do some rethink of some of the new ideas of collection model so it spread out... (and not just targeting the victims) and it would raise more capital...

I'm on record already saying this:

ACC put out a super high figure to the media. Motorcycledom is upset and start many protests, letters and emails are sent.

Good old Nick Smith "decides" not to increase the recommended $500 but only goes to a low $250 increase.

Motorcycledom celebrate their mighty win over the evil ACC.

Somewhere at ACC a PR man gets a healthy bonus for his master-plan .......

My feelings entirely!!!!!! No Increase under a no fault system!!

Petrol levy, increase GST, Levy on Licenses or however they can get funds universally, that they don't need anyway as they made 700 million last year!!

I'll tell you why I asked the question. I couldn't go on the ride so rang a really good buddy up, that rides road, MX, races post classics and has a son racing in the top 6 in MX. He was pumped with the ride, never seen so many bikes. It appears he learnt a lot from the speakers at the Bikoi, which struck as a very good thing from an educating bikers point of view. We need to talk talk talk to all our cager friends etc now to do the same! Stir up as much anti National shit as possible! (yes I voted for them)

Ok so I digress, back to the point. During that conversation he started on as most of us and my other cager friends do (well everyone actually), about how this group or that group should be fronting up. It struck me as we have missed the point here if we get that far into the argument. We should never be talking about which specific groups will pay and what their risks are under a "No fault system" End of story!
Are we all still unconsciously falling for a National Party softening up strategy on future ACC agendas??

So I thought I start a thread to get feedback and the consensus of opinion!

Bring It on! The fight is just starting! "No Fault-No increase!"

I agree, a flat rate for all motor vehicles, apart from mopeds of course which should still be cheap.

It has to be a Single levy for all private motor vehicles otherwise it is not a NO FAULT system and immediately singles one group out.

The most reasonable system is to have it fixed to the driver/riders license - but thats not going to happen because ACC would have to take a massive cut in levies as they wouldn't be tucking people who own more than one vehicle.
