Point us in the direction of a bank account number when you're ready, more than willing to send some money, Wellington put on a good show for this Jafa, enjoyed my stay, seems a shame for them to be out of pocket because of a pindick.

Please specify if you want any of your donations directed to a 'particular' angle of the cause. Otherwise it will end up in the general war fund.

Feel free to PM me if you need more details.

Shit, what will it ever take for all bikers to respect other bikers choice of ride and just class each other as a like minded brother or sister on two wheels? Throughout this entire thread (and many others) the Harley bashing brigade has really got a hard on. The prick who did the burnout could have been riding any type of bike... he might own 3 or 4 for all we know and just chose the Harley for this occasion. Why is it that the brand of bike becomes the topic for so many?

Stoney... Im in for a few bob too if needed, just put up details when you know. Sorry to hear this 'fellow bike rider' was such a plonker... but there is always one... and in a crowd of 6000 + thats not too bad.

Im scared we wont be welcomed back, who said we wont BIKEOI 2010???

anyone wanna come to my 41st???
I get on to it tomorrow. Am I able to get up to it to have a good look at it?
It is an engineered topping and I think it could be made by a company that I do use some of there products.

Whats done is done & cant be undone. We need to put it right (LV Martin style) and move on.
Its a piss off for sure but man Im proud to be part of this KB family and to see so many people put their hands up to help sort this shows why.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.

So it would appear. Must have some fancy concrete up your way. And some suspect 'harden coating'. Shit it would struggle to survive Christchurch's boy racers on a Friday night! Must have been one heavy arse bike, and it will be looking for a new rear tyre.

Don't go getting me wrong here - I'm all for the good work that has been done organising this meeting.

I'd question that as a venue next time if it's a bit delicate - there is no way of controlling hundreds or thousands of riders, and I've noticed over the years if you get more than a couple of dozen bikes together there is usually a burnout involved somewhere .....

Are the police actively chasing this? They could easily charge the rider under the new laws for 'unnecessary loss of traction' or a reckless driving charge.

    Good job orginasing your bit.
If needed I can scrape up a few bucks for support.

Hopefully this won't become a habit as I suspect the protests will become a lot more rowdy the more Government stall.

the stadium was good enough to lend us their walkway for the day, if you noticed we were restricted to parking up to a certain point, that was due to the walkway not being able to stand up to the combined weight of all those bikes parked on it. This was the first time vehicles have been allowed on the walkway and stoneY pulled 1 out of the hat gaining us access to it

If my memory serves me correctly this must have been OUTSIDE the proper parking area!?It also looks to have been resurfaced recently, perhaps its faulty???

It is good to see people are willing to stick together on this one because at the end of the day this cause is for every one of us. Being responsible will also look good for the public and maybe if it does hit the news and the public see that we are prepared to stand up and be accountable for ourselves may be a good thing.Vern

I came accross a bit strong. The concrete was a special lightweight type to try to keep the weight of the structure to a minimum. Its on reclaimed and or seabed .Less weight meant less piling/pile driving. The walkway is above a carpark so it has to be waterproof so maybe the lightweight concrtete has its disadvantage s too

In addtion, it has a special coating on it ... straight concrete wouldn't handle the punishment this stuff constantly gets.

As a walkway it's perfect. As a burnout pad it's not.

I'll be in for some fix-it cash if need be - just say (post) the word
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

That's not to say I'm a full-on Nana. I sometimes pass on yellow lines and I don't always ride at or below the speed limit. Sometimes I (gasp) only wear my unarmoured Draggin' jeans on my legs.(Quote.)

I am a Nana and a bloody good coach and car driver with a clean record. It may be you who will be an ACC user if you keep riding the way you say you do. I take it you dont have a Nana that you respect. I respect the bikers protest have admiration for them on the highways and well support them all the way.

Put me down for some $$$ if needed to pay for the repair. Can't let the actions of one idiot tarnish the reputation of all responsible bikers out there and to the other 6,999 of you ... great stuff Tuesday.
