What the issue is here? Does using a GPS make you less of an adventure rider or a 'nerd' ? 'Ruining everything?' Come on, lets get a little more sensible here...
I don't recall Dakar being ruined because of the use of Sentinels, GPS and Sat Phones that are rented now as a norm by riders....
I have found personally that having one of these aids certainly has made my riding a lot more enjoyable and I have also found some good back roads and tracks as a result...
AND, I will be using a road book too.....![]()
Hear hear. Tho I myself prefer to have someone ride frantically all the way to catch me up & tell me I've gone the wrong way![]()
just made my ferry bookings. the cheap fares on the interislander had gone since i last looked so went with bluebridge at $100 each way
Looks like I'll be doing this rather than the DB1K.

Well, it's been on the back burner for over a year. In face it was 1st May 2008 when I last posted anything related to the CCA video I recorded.
I've recently got a picture smoothing plug in for my editing software so have started playing with the tapes again.
It's still a long way off finishing but here's the first semi cut 10 minutes as of today.
Should wet the appetite for those planning to go ride this year.
