You could make it free of copyright and have it free to watch online. Anyone that wants to watch in better quality can torrent it. Just need a tracker and a few people who can distribute it. You can also split it into segments and youtube it. You could even go to dvd and distribute it with a local bike mag.
Why try and pay high prices for something that should be phased out with the advent of on demand viewing.
You can still have ads in it to pay for production and just keep everything low costs. Do what carver does and test ride bikes and review them at the same time.
No one that's not interested in bikes would watch it anyway so public tv isn't really a must.
Ok my thinking on public TV was a hearts and minds thing, Getting a site found on the internet, is still a bit hit and miss.
The way I was thinking was a platform to show all forms of motorcycling, not get stuck in a narrow section, yes I know there are those who only are intrested in Motorcross, or road racing, or Harley's or what ever.
I was thinking that a TV programe would promote motorcycling in NZ, both to those who are thinking of returning to the fold, and those who are thinking of taking up Motorcycling for the first time, and also promoting motorcycling as an option to those who have never considered it before.
The ultimate goal of such a TV programe would be to Increase the number of motorcyclists in NZ, secondly information and third entertainment.
There was a Programe on Triangle TV call Four Wheel Drive TV, it was a fairly budget programe, made by people who are passionate about all aspects of their recreation / sport, and their passion makes up for not having a big budget to play with.
