When we were up north we went and had a look at 'Tane Mahuta' (is that the one?), the big mother of a Kauri tree in the Waipoua forest. It was really early in the morning, we thought it would be cool to ride the bikes along the board walk and snap a photo with the MTM's under it....

We didn't as a car turned up while debating whether to or not....Pity though, it would have been awesome..
