Well, maybe that's the difference between cops and pigs. (Or north and south?) So much of both sides is down to attitude.

Mind you, tell that to big-city pig when he's out to prove something, they're fuckwits generally speaking whereas a local (country) bobby simply tries to settle things with reason rather than a baton/cash register/cell key etc.

Oh, and do me a favour.............turn your radar/laser off on Dec 29/30, there's a good boy.

I have a huge respect for what they do and how they put themselves on the line for us, but a few incidents I have witnessed lately, is starting to dampen that. Was heading to do the shopping last night in the cage and I am waiting to turn right out of a side street into abbots way in remuera. I see a bike coming from my right, indicating to turn into the street Im coming out of. Isnt speeding, isnt hooning, isnt loud or obnoxious and is wearing all the gear. I quietly admire the bike and watch as he turns into the street. He/she is being followed by a patrol car that literally stops in front of the road I am coming out of and sits there for 30seconds blocking traffic whilst watching the motorcyclist head up my road. The officer, is just watching the rider intently, as if waiting for him to do something stupid. He then slowly crawls off. I then proceed to pull out and have to jam the brakes on as a car with one broken headlight (note this was at 8:45pm ish) and one very dim one, hoons past at like 80. It also has two broken tailights. How cop car didnt see that I dont know.

A mate of mine had a cop tailgate him at night with the headlights on high once.

That and other things like this... http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...49&postcount=1.. has made me lose any respect for their authority on the roads.

If they want to play silly games with the public then that's what they'll get. Fuck them to hell.

Just so theres no way I could have misquoted you, I've boldened and Italicised the relevant words.
With these words I 100% agree.
Unfortunately there isa growing trend towards Police Officers attempting to ensnare drivers/riders, in ways which are morally, ethically and principally WRONG.
Having said all that, in the dfence of those officers who go out and do their job to the best of their ability day in and day out I still salute them.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
