I have the same problem. i want to hire a bike (small one) for a 3 or 4 week tour in NZ but prices are so high
A 250cc Honda costs nz$110 and a Daihatsu sirion nz$52. There must be a cheaper way to do this.
Cave Weta,
Many thanks and to others as well. I will certainly check them out.
My brother and I did a buy back deal in Canada two years ago. Bought 2nd hand Ultras with 10klm on the clock for $22000 and sold them back on a guarantee for $19000. And that was after 35000klms.
Way better than renting.
This year we rented in the States for three weeks for $100 US per day through Fly Ride program with HOG. By far the cheapest way.
I'll let you know how I go
Many thanks once again
Okay, the new year is here and we have organised Bike Hire for 11 days at the end of March. Picking up the bikes in Christchurch.
next question....with only 11 days to see as much as we can I am looking for suggestions. Our first thouoght was to do just the South Island as I had heard that's best for seeing things, and of course there are a lot of famous places on my must see list. but another ex Kiwi I spoke to says to do the North island only as we will be on Harleys and the South is better suited to Sports bikes.
Yet another reckons we can do both islands in 11 days.
Open to any ideas and help
thanks in advance
