Too right! What I hate about the smaller scooters - the machines themselves - is their low power, low visibility and pissy-little wheels. I don't think they're safe to ride so I'd be inclined to wear full gear while riding one, as well. I wear full gear on bigger, faster - but better appointed - bikes, and I feel "safe" on them, so I'd certainly wear full gear on something I don't feel safe on.

Occasionally I felt unsafe on my big, heavy Zundapp and Puch - when I was at the maximum wind on the throttle or when hitting sixty miles per hour downhill on the (relatively) small wheels and getting "speed wobbles" - and I class them as better appointed and "safer" than most of the 50cc scooters I've seen.
    Motorbike Camping for the win!

Casbolts In ChCh give you a CG125 if you're daft enough to ask them for a loan bike. To rub salt into the wounds some focker has stuck Ducati 999 decals on it.
I even had a couple of forkin teenagers race me from a set of lights when I borrowed it once, and they won, on foot. Arse biscuits.

I don't think that's something you should admit to mate...

I got this from Boyds as a loaner:

Honda Silverwing - 650cc Twin - went like stink.

I also got a demo (brand new) DL1000 V-Strom from Holeshot for three weeks while I was waiting for me DRZ400 to be delivered. I love those guys...

It may go like stink, but its still got stupid dangerous little wheels...

No wonder they called it the silverwing. Before I had read that, it looked like a baby goldwing.

Thats a good idea. Would probably want to spray some chain oil on the rear to get it sliding though.

When do you have to give it back aff-man? I reckon it's just the thing for some off roading.

Some mud and cow poo baked to the exhaust would make them think twice about giving you something with less that 100hp and a 180 rear.

Unfortunatley it went back today. They wern't going to get round to looking at my bike this week (due to mechanics taking days off for thier kids holidays) so i went and got the 600 back cause i need to do a bit of errands this weekend..... So it goes back on monday and we'll see what i get next time

P.s. F%##%King woman drivers. Was taking the scoot back and well she just pulled out right into me. I swerved and the left handelbar was over her bonnet and i am sure i felt my pants brush her bumper. If it was the cibber she would have cleaned me out... or i would have enough power to get out the way......

P.s. thinking of getting a cheeeeap scoot for offroading stunts now
