An off the cuff comment by somebody recently gave me the germ of an idea.
"Bikies"--- nasty smelly fringe of society types or fat balding middle aged IT geeks .

Now what would happen if a protest "parkup" was staged and the bikers concerned were seen as being doctors, nurses fireys,mechanics,shopkeepers etc?
Same as the bikio or the mission bay event.
Getting across the message-"hey we are normal people who choose bikes as a means of transport" AND VOTE

This reminds me of this one time, a self employed builder, a pilot, a vet, a farmer and a web developer walked into a cafe. Damn the looks we got! Funny enough, the owners were the only ones pleased to see us and we always get good service there.

Some of the KB girls have already done a café ride surprising many of the public when they took their helmets off.

No disrepect, but no-one heard a thing about it. We need public awareness, and sorry to say options are running out. The media like disruptive, and that is what is required.
