Bikers' ACC levy lift pared back

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/3111...ift-pared-back

The ACC has wound back recommended levy increases for motorcyclists, but riders of big bikes will still face a rise of more than 50 per cent next year.
The state insurer will today release to ministers its final recommendation, which will see the levies on employers, workers and motor vehicles all rise.

Nice move - I wonder if commentary will be made along the lines of "well we have to raise this levy that levy etc because the moey has to come from somewhere so you'll just have to keep subsidising motorcycles"

... preparing the ground for next review where they probably get set at the originally intended levels.

    I was thinking.

Don't pay Rego. Donate the Rego to a BRONZ nominated charity. Refuse donations from Ulysses members.

"The average rate for cars (including the levy on petrol) will surge from $287 to $352.19 a year."
"The cost for motorbikes bigger than 600cc would rise from $430.54 to $739.32, but that is down on the $781.12 originally suggested by the ACC. It would fall to $659.26 once the law change was in place" (Judge must have been drink Tuis if he thinks we are going ta believe that Bull Shit).
Not much of a change at all Fu*k'em.

    I agree, good idea.
FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

Don't worry HB, there's a few of us out here that are planning to do just that if they carry out raping us bikers with these outrageous levies hikes.

Would it be overly subversive if I ... say... registered my 2003 Charcoal coloured VTR1000 and scanned the reg tag... such that others could print it - purely for the purposes of them to admire the incredible resolution of my scanner of course...

What's more I wíll refuse to pay any fines related to not paying the rego. I would consider just paying the same as the cars or the rego cost before the hike, but I refuse to paying anything above that.

"Earners face a rise from $1.70 now to $2.80 per $100 of income next year, although that will drop to $2.70 once the new ACC law is passed."

So for a salary of $50,000, you're going to be paying $1400 instead of $850... add fuel levy, add rego levy... Fuck it, I may never come back to NZ!
    I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

    Info from source

Can somebody post a link to the ACC info that was released today, rather than the media snippets of same?
