HJC IS Multi - 7 in 1 Helmet

These look like quite good helmets, thing is once again NZ only gets two boring colours...
I like the olive green and the white one...
The ADV set up looks good and there is a Youtube video of the setting up and changing helmet for different styles of riding...
I see one on Trade Me Emoto has one, looks like they are bringing them in $480 price range I guess...
Price ordered from Germany in the colour you want is good, less VAT of course as well....

    Be careful with European sizing.
I tried on helmets in Spain and Italy that were the same model and size that I have at home and they didn't fit.

Yeah....Kiwi domes are one in Mill!

Being a Pom, my dome will be the European head...
You are right though and I have thought about this....BUT, there is also some 'Urban Myth' thing about this that might need more explaining. I don't know whether it is manufacturers sizing or country sizing, e.g Japan L or more like a M here? I have a L Arai from UK and it fits like an XL here, so correct in that regard.....
My HJC from the USA is a tight fit for a XL, my Shoei XL from NZ is huge....
    I give up...
I cannot understand it really, surely as the HJC in this particular instance comes from Europe in the first place. they don't go making a separate batch for Kiwi, Aussie US heads?

    Nope.
I'm a pom too, and I tried the identical helmets I owned at home when I was in Andorra (a Shoei XR1000 and a Arai Tour-X) in the correct size, and they didn't fit.

aint it weird then....It seems we have a different market here in the Sth Hemisphere...
I haven't ordered but have bought helmets in the past from different countries, namely Japan, USA and UK. The only issue I found was with the Arai from Japan - tight as a nuns .... it was!

Are you going to invest in one? If you do, presume you'll try one on locally and then order accordingly, would be really interested on whether there is a discrepency in sizing and feedback after a couple of rides - they do look the ducks nuts!

I'm a bit late on this, but they do look awesome. I was a bit skeptical on the 7 in 1 thing, but they seem pretty well regarded.

Looking at the exchange it should be more like 4 hundy. I know the conversion works out to about 320 ish but rarely does it work that way in retail in NZ.

    I would pay 400 but not 500 I don't think.

Does anyone know if a bike shops have them on their shelves?

I work for an importer (not bike related) did a bit of number crunching - 480 isn't far off what the retail would be here if imported. Just working off us and eu retails, factoring in taxes and freight and the hidden costs of importing and they are pretty close.

Boydies has some in so I am going to have a look this week.

    Will keep you posted.
