Sadly I don't, probably couldn't afford it. But will be nice to have a look.

I figure my head is worth a bit

    HJC IS-Multi

I got one of these from the Speedshow this weekend - $499 - and have been using since in a range of (typical) Dorkland weather ie rain, wind, sun....sometimes all at the same time.

Happy with the noise level - more wind about the face but comparable to my old Shoei (Airoh was hideous for noise). Will look at getting a windjammer to reduce airflow over the winter.

The chin piece feels a bit flimsy - but I like the adaptability of using it any which way. Getting used to the visor not being able to lift as high with the peak on - but its a minor inconvenience.

    I like the metallic silver!

    Thanks for that Shewolf.

The flimsyness of a removable chin guard worries me too.

Dont like the thought of having my face smashed in... course it might look better that way

Had a look at the HJC this weekend. Nice enough looking helmet. But I don't like the flimsyness of the front guard. And realistically I would hardly ever use any of the configurations anyway.
It would stay in one form, so there would be no point spending the dollars on it. IMO.

So I guess I will look for a reasonable sub 200 adv helmet.

I'm one that would use all the configurations but I'm buggered if I'll spend that much on a helmet.

On a camera or an iPod maybe but not a helmet.

@Nordie, what would you spend on that particular helmet? Just as a matter of interest, what would you think a good price would be?

Dunno. I've never spent more than $200 on a helmet.

My main concern would be how it handles the wind and the weight of it.

Yeah I saw that too, hot and sticky under a full face helmet still better than going through missing half ya face, open face for trials is fine but anything faster I want protection .... staring to sound old now

That picture (if it's the one I'm thinking of) was circulated around the internet with the story about an open faced helmet. It is actually the result of some idiots fooling around with detonators.
