Want to beat the system on forward paying up to 15 months motorcycle registration ?

In our own Ulysses November club newsletter was an article put forward by the Rev Allan Wasley of Wakefield. This was distributed at the Nelson ACC protest ride.
Today Friday 27th I decided to put this to the test.
My bike was registered for 12 months in August and doesn't expire till August 2010.
I visited our local testing station and requested the MR27 form.
I filled the form in with my bike rego and bingo it works.
I thought the new extended 15 months would be assessed from the date I re registered eg August 2009 then just add 15 months, to take me through to November 2010 but no !!! the 15 months takes me through from todays date until 27/02/2011,credit was given for the next 9 months already paid. Fellow members its a winner. Gary the local manager of the Blenheim Testing station suggested tell your mates because there is no doubt the ACC component of our registration is going to go up next year, maybe not as high as first advertised but you can bet your bottom dollar will be a lot higher than it is at present.
Another thing to consider-- whats the betting they LTSA will close this loophole as soon as they can

I confess that I don't understand this particular piece of avoidance. Whatever cunning plan is wrought, it will have to pass the "lady behind the counter at NZ Post" test. If I don't understand it, I suspect neither will she.
