Haven't had to do a single thing to the Gixxer6...nothing except services and tyres.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.

Gave up on fixing all sorts of bikes-Bought a new Suzuki

No problems with the new Suzuki at all, Had it two years
I would say Suzukis's are as reliable as any other Japanese bike, and that means pretty bloody good.
I have owned them all and the biggest problem with motorbikes, is fixing the f--k ups that other back yard mechanics have previously stuffed up or things they have failed to service.
They all come out the factories good these days, but it is the ignorant or slack (tight ass) owners that cause most of the problems.
    Don't blame the bike!

No compliants about the dealer. New SV1000 dropped the clutch under warranty and they loaned me a bike for 3 weeks until parts arrived from Japan. The rectifier on the Hayabusa failed - fixed under warranty. Shit can happen but the dealer is excellent.
    Here for the ride.

yea bro i got some at home in my tool box. just check to see if you have to have a certain clearance which real gaskets achive. but if theres no prob go for gold is what i say, i love the shit. only use the red stuff tho as works better on hot places. put on a bead not too thick tho as when you tighten it up it will squese inside the engine if too much is aplyed. tighten losly leave for like 20 30mins to let it settle and go rubbery then evenly tighten everything up!
