i understand where you are coming from but there was the same "unpredictable track weaving mobile hazzards" with the more adavanced riders aswell. it just comes down to manners, some people have them and some don't, and with the wet track on Sat fitness played a big part.
I am not an advanced rider so i needed to pick where and when i overtook and there were times, with very novice riders in front, when riders came flying up the middle scaring the crap out of eveyone.

i think some riders were out on a mission and some were just on a relaxed ride. we all had to learn at sometime if that was at 5 or 50 and i think some people have forgotten (or don't care) what that was like.

4stroke: i think i was talking to you on sunday morning about putting on wet riding gear?? was that you? yea the mud was cool, speed and momentum and standing up was the key to getting through it,

spikedpunch: i think me and nick(EXCdirt) passed you on one of the muddy uphills bound to have been plenty if roost there lol, all i could see was lots of blue smoke and that distinctive looking bike.

getting roosted and trying to pass the slower riders is all just part of the fun in my book, if someone want to zoom past and spray me on the gravel roads thats fine, i know im guilty of doing it sometimes.

i dont think it was me, could have been, i forgot to write the numbers down that were posted on here sorry guys, i would have roosted many many many people who were stuck on up hill sections, just so i could keep going, i got sick of helping people up the hills and helping clearing the back log, you help a guy out and dont get anything that sounds like a thanks, like the dude whos clutch ran away on the stair case, i re-adjusted it and said try that, next thing he's off and covered me in shit, what a fk wit..... some said thanks tho and thats all it takes.

yeah one of the kickers claimed a mate too, he ended up attempting a fwd flip which failed bad with the bike bouncing up side down on top of him, got badly winded and bit his tounge. got a ride out too.
    he's all good now tho.

Hmm I wonder if that was the hill where a quad rolled into me? It was annoying, there were four of them all stopped halfway up with a good couple feet of clean line to the left, I decided to take it and mr.quaddie at the top turned round, saw me sneaking up the side and decided he wanted to go then as well...And went into the side of the bank and then rolled backwards/sideways into me. So I got stuck on a hill with a flooded bike while he tootled off with the hero parade. At another point a quad rolled over my foot, although I didn't even notice, meatbomb told me about it later haha.
I do wonder about the distinctive bike, if I do something to annoy someone it's easy to know who did it...

Spikedpunch, I Think that was the hill. The quads were further up the hill. Flyingcr250 and me went past near the bottom and probably made a bit of noise and smoke when we went past..... Sorry for that.
Was 2 x ktm 300s.... noise.... smoke... usual stuff really.

That was an awesome event for me. Riding with Flyingcr250, Xen and jt + others was awesome! Good guys and good riders. Did around 120+kms each day so well tired after that. Some very different and varied riding conditions and terrain.

Had a huge urge to just go off into the distance towards the mountain or desert road. Exploring or expedition style riding maybe?

Keen for that tussock buster that sounds just as good. Camping and dirtbikes is a good combo!

Hey don't sweat it! Tussock buster is really cool, you get a good blast alongside Desert road on the main loop, pretty neat.

Yeah that was a real sweet weekend. Was cool that it rained and made the first day more interesting, altho not wearing googles is dodge. Pretty challanging to keep it straight on those long dirt roads. Haha damn quads helped a couple on the 'hard' hill that got diverted, they were holding up a lot of riders. Had fun blasting along the gavel roads don't usually get to hit 5th and actually didn't seem to be that many riders on the trails I guess cause they were big loops. Mean as riding with the crew trying to keep up especially when fading early into the 2nd laps lol, that was the fastest riding i've done. Gotta hand it to jt's heap of honda even if it did blow the clutch he was pulling away from me pretty convincingly in a drag from 3rd-5th. High jump and the creek jump were primo. Yea doing some freeriding would've been mint Nick but I was too tired by that stage and could only follow the trail home haha. Keen as for tussock buster

We got pretty lost many years ago to a bit to get back on track. There is a river between where you were and the desert road. Had to cross it on sand blast a few years back claimed a few.

For the guy complaining about slow riders dont hesitate to pass make sure ur arm is lower then theres that way if you come togeather your arm will lift his and make them vear of track. Works every time and its there own fault if they cant hear my bike coming they are deff. Maybe a bit mean but when helmets go on there is no friends

I don't know you or how you ride but these comments make me think you are a pure idiot with no repect for others while out riding.
Always give slower riders the right of way and be careful as they may be concentrating so hard that they can't hear you coming, have you forgotten what it was like to be learning something?

Sounds like race tactics not trailride tactics.
With the sheer numbers at DS, perhaps telling the new riders to do a novice loop first to give the faster riders a chance to go first before heading out on the big loops. I'm all for patience when passing, especially kids who are obviously out for the first ride on the "big " track. The ones I have an issue with go like this....Hear you, look back, roost you to speed up. If you catch them up you are obviously going faster so why make it harder to get past as it may end in tears.

Probably not the best advice...as that could be someones wife ,girlfriend, or child, you just made.. crash...so you could expect more injuries in the pits than out riding..whats wrong with a bit of patience I still remember my sons first berm buster..he was a novice and some prick pushed him down a bank ..it shattered his confidence..Now im a slow rider im also 6' and 120 kg so try and push me off .. and after ive tracked you down we will see how good that advice is
