    If it's the GSXR250RR SlingShot....then buy it!!!

They're a wicked bike, they're quick and they handle like a dream.

I had one before my current bike and loved it...only thing to watch for is the carbs screwing up...it seems to be a fairly common problem.

    What he said.
He is right and you should do the Gixxer thing. You will never be able to ride anything other than a GSX-R after that. They rock.

GSX R easily. Try to talk down the price a bit though.

You would outgrow those other bikes quickly and wish that you had a 4 cylinder 250. RGs can be fast though, never ridden a RGV.

I don't understand why people will fork out $2000 dollars for a FXR150. My first bike was a $200 87' GL145, and it was faster than the FXR's.

Value for money get the RGV, you can get along fairly good on them, high maitanence not really on the newer 2 storke 150's, they're fairly fool proof and cost no more than a 4 storke to run, if you thrash it yeah maybe but if you thrash anything it's gonna cost ya.

Buy the RGV and shell out on some good riding gear.

    Good luck mate.

    Hm

Went to see the RGV, it was purple/pink so not gonna buy that.

Parents dont really want me to finance the Eliminator or GSXR250

What do you all think of the SR250? I could buy it cash and all gear too with no need for finance.

Better yet, anyone selling a 250 for around 2g-2300?!

Thats what put me of buying a rgv150. A mate has one and it pulls as hard as my rg but the rgv just seems well, a little too purple for me and i dont like spokes

Don't do it. You will regret it in no time. 'tis better to make the stretch first, then you will not need to do this again for quite a while. Oh...and get a new helmet, for the rest check out TradeMe
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Mate, dont worry about the speed of your bike, you can only do 100kph

Got the SR250, arrives monday or tuesday!

Got it for many reasons, paid cash for bike and got gear too, no finance.

Doesnt matter as much if i fall off, cheapish bike, no fairings etc.

    main reason, keeps mum happy

plus no finance, so in maybe 2-3 mths gonna get the gsxr which will get me to my full so then i can buy a bigger gsxr. they are the sexiest bikes

If you're talking about the sexiest 250 4-stroke then I think you must be mistaken, as it is of course the marv-e-liss ZXR250C!
