Just did my Full test at AA Westgate yesterday, and passed
Decided to go to AA Westgate instead of Browns Bay this time as the examiner were hellava cu*nt when I did my restricted there. My testing officer was a woman this time, quite friendly and basically explained everything clearly before we head off. They used a radio head set where you wear an ear piece connecting to a walkie talkie that you shove in your jacket.
In terms of the test I found it much easier and stress free than my restricted, all instructions are given early with plenty of warning, no last minute turns..etc
The first part of the test we just rode around town, did about 2-3 left and right hand turn. Then at an intersaction the testing officer asked me to remember all the hazards for the next 30 seconds. That was easy, all you got to take note are the "moving" stuff- so cars from opposite lane , cars behind you, people on the street (none at my test though)...etc, and try to remember their color or type and their direction if you can (e.g a red SUV turing into my way...)
Then we went into some narrow streets and cul-de-sacs and did a few U turns and a mix of left and right hand turns.
Then to a 80k zone, just cruize alone, I was going about 70 all the time because of traffic. After that I did an U-turn on a side street and head back the same way.
and that was it, all in about 35 minutes
I am suprised how easy it was, considering I have only done about 3000 ks on a 2 smoker and another 3000 km on my Hornet. One thing that I recommed new riders do is to practice lots and lots and lots of U -turns. The officer did remark on how well I performed all the U-turns, no wobbly and putting legs down...etc. and that was all because I spend hours practising it in the carpark. If you are able to do an U-turn within a 6 meter diameter circle, you are pretty much set to go. A lot of it was just practicing until you feel the clutch's friction zone.
So now riding my zx6rhad a little spin on it --- definitely faster than my 250 but not as comfortable, in fact the seat is a ball buster. but no worrys it still put a big smile on my face!!
Ride safe and enjoy!!
