    Trick & Quick

Well Opua RD Drags where yesterday & the weather some how was near perfect conditions for racing , the local crew headed down there to have another shot at Top bragging rights again , Matthew Meads had a new digital timing system made & was getting to grip's with how it ran with it only playing up once & that was sorted after a short delay , Myself I was looking at beating mates time on his Aprilia afew years back of 11.19 so had set 11 flat as my time . With a new Eprom that I was sent free from a Guy in Germany that writtes them for Aprilia to try out for him & my tuning work I set the bike up ready for dragging which was very easy now with the TTX36 shock Robert Taylor had one off built for me & then warmed the motor up & pulled up to stage then let the RSVR have it , had my adjustable CRG lever abit to far out & didn't get the clutch hooked up where I would have liked & hit the rev limiter , short shift though the gears & held it hard till the end . Yea 11 flat first run . Back to the start & a quick drink then adjusted the rear shock & the clutch lever abit more & set my shift light to 10,000 rpm a 1000 off redline . Better start next run with abit of a wheelie in 1st which was just about right but 2nd lifted abit much & had to roll the throttle abit but a good launch tucked down & Hell yea 10.95 , After another short break rolled up to the line & focused hard on my take off , this time I hit the revs very hard & loaded up the front abit more & shot off the line with the front just skimming perfectly off the road as did 2nd & abit less in 3rd held 3rd right to 11,000rpm this time & then hit 4th & went throught the end light , 10.85 flat , so after 2 more runs at 10.95 I finished second behind Matt Meads on his 1098s which Ripped off a 10.31 , Matt has done afair bit of Drag racing as I have & we have had some good races over the last 13ys but his 20+hp over my RSVR & excellent staging saw him with a well deserved win , so I was bloody rapped as had beaten a 312R MV , 999 Ducati , Triumph 955 etc . Looks like a Big Bore kit is the go if I'm to get close to the 1098s next time

    'hang0ver performance'

Slightly slower than you, on a peice of scrap metal.

10.86... But I did have high expectations of those RSV's! They are sexy.
