you can only do that to the single cam RFS engines the 350 kit is around 1000USD from the states. The twin cam ones, 07 and newer, can only oversize to a 280
we may just go where no ones been

Good luck with a KTM lol! Compared to Yamaha KTM parts are double the price
    Good grief another "expert"

how reliable are these as there seems to be shit loads out there on the tracks now.
The fact is the 250 of about that vintage is quite heavy but the single cam engines are very reliable, so if you want it for trail riding etc: Its probably a good bike.
Regardless of what others say, the "facts" are that there are not as many aftermarket parts that are not OEM made for KTMS as there are for Jap bikes.
    KTMs build quality is exceptional
    Very good bikes

Motorcycle manufacturers do not make bearings and seals.
Interesting post, You've got me intrigued, what info do you need to give Saeco need in order to get bearings & do they do stuff like steering head ones as well ?.

Regarding KTM, not for me personally, but they are damn fine bikes & I have seen no evidence that the parts are over the top pricing, you won't go wrong with one.

Every bearing and every seal has a number on it- even if it cant be read they will just measure it- ask what it is out of- and sell you an equivilant.
They need to know what it is from if they cant read the number because a steering head bearing looks like a Ferrari wheel bearing- but turns a lot slower. They have different clearances and sometimes inbuilt seals that would block you from adding more lubricant - like in a motor and gearbox they are always open to take sump lube , - But in a wheel - they are sealed to keep shit out.

Dont quote me on this but i am pretty sure that KTM won every class except for the E1 class. That included all the clubman classes and the overal in both..
