Reversing out of the supermarket carpark

Not really bike related, but I was on my bike when I saw it...

Poor old dear backed her car out of the local supermarket car park this morning as I was close by...she must have really floored it, because the car rocketed out backwards and tried to demolish the pillar holding up the supermarket's verandah...needless to say, the pillar won and the car lost...bits for friggin miles around.

She seemed to be quite upset...

I do feel sorry for these old dears. Probably confused the pedals.

If they were made to drive with a 'Blue Rinse' coloured light on the roof, then at least we would be able to give them the bit more time they need and save them getting flustered.

Pull her licence and make her take the bus

Would have been funny as fuck if she had some serious horsepower under the bonnet. It would have lit those rears up big-time.. go granny go!

When you've lost control of your vision, reflexes, memory and bladder you need something in your life you can be in control of, don't you?
Why not a car, they've never hurt anyone.

Ive seen it lots of times- especially in supermakets- here in Waihi we have currently got a shop boarded up after a 30kmh reversing manouver by a blue rinse stunt driver
sign in the plywood panels says
'we are still open for business - but not the drive through!'

this would be funnier if it wasn't true:
A group of oldies were sitting around talking about their ailments:
"My arms are so weak I can barely hold a cup of coffee", said one.
"Yes, I know. My cataracts are so bad I can't even see my coffee", replied another.
"I can't turn my head because of the arthritis in my neck", said a third, to which several nodded in agreement.
My blood pressure pills make me dizzy," another went on.
"I guess that's the price we pay for getting old," winced an old man as he shook his head.
Then there was a short moment of silence.

"Well, it's not that bad" said one woman cheerfully. "Thank God, we can all still drive"!
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
