This is a socialist arguement, the levies.

Its also a slur against biking, that Joe Q has had messaged in the news recently. Certain bikers took offence and rightly so. Because it is unjust in view of other sports and cycling etc etc.

As a subculture, scooterists are much more willing to be a monkey on a string, more than bikers(NZ). Actually, much of this has to do with balls, nads, nuts and scooterists are inner city compliant artist types not rebelious, hard arse ballseyrenegades.

My missus rides a Vespa and loves Motorhead, drinking beer and has headbutted the odd idiot who pissed her off over the years.

She is pissed as with all this and is as far from an inner city compliant artist than she could ever be.

I do see where you are coming from though, but these types can be turned....this has nothing to do with bikes as such, this is a fight on principle that bikers are fronting up to.....and bikers are anyone with two wheels and an engine between their legs

On TV One news last night they had a story about the top 10 news stories for 2009....ACC protests against motorcycle levies came in at number 9!!!

That is freaking fantastic and all credit is due to those hard working bikers who are out there doing the protest stuff! Give yourselves a big pat on the back peeps!

Delivered oranges and cards to Carol Beaumont's office yesterday, didn't make it in time to see her but she just gave me a call thanking us for the card and fruit and I explained what it was all about.

Apparently the select committee will keep hearing submissions on the ACC bill into the new year (she is on that committee) so I have asked to be kept posted on developments there.

    Merry Christmas once again!

Delivery to Mr Kanwal Singh Bakshi. Very nice office, walked in , little Indian chicky receptionist. Ho Ho Ho Santa's a bit busy this year so he's asked the motorcyclists to help him out with his naughty and nice list. So here's Mr Bakshi's Christmas present. Unfortunately, because of the National party assault on ACC , he's on the naughty list so all he gets is this traditional lump of coal. Chicky looked horrified, then start giggling and said she'd give it to him

We already went through the details with Mr Bakshi (whose English isn't great) so I left it at that.

Further up the road to the electorate office of Pita Sharples. WTF, did someone tell them I was coming, the place is better fortified than Fort Knox. Big signs saying Video Recorded Area, massive door with even more massive locks. Locked. Intercom box thingy so I press the bell and say "Christmas present for Mr Sharples". Big Maori chick opens the door looking hopeful. Same spiel, another lump of coal. But boy, talk about a change of attitude. She snarls "Thank you !" in a voice that has probably done more to combat global warming than a dozen Copenhagens. And then the door slams in my face. Hm, touched a nerve maybe.

Onward to Otara to Mr Asaph Choudrey. Meh, the electorate office (shared with a dude called Robertson, apparently) is a dingy hovel almost as bad as Melissa Lee's. What's with this, aren't these electorate offices maintained by Parliamentary services ? Or do they just give the MPs an allowance and they pocket anything they don't spend?

Anyway, no-one home so i left the card and orange hanging from the door handle.

My fourth one was John Tamihere. but he's not an MP! Dunno how he sneaked in. So I ate the orange myself.

Thanks TV1, come again, we won't dissappoint.
Hey there Mr caseye, I am obviously digging up old threads here, but what do you reckon the chances are that your bro' could remember the newspaper so I can contact them and see if I can get a clipping? I am working hard out on a little project, it just might be a handy resource is all
