Approach intersections very carefully. Cagers often don't see anything smaller than a small hatchback until you hit them.

If you understand that most car drivers believe indicators to be there for decorative purposes and whether they flash or do not flash has no bearing on the actual intended direction of the car - you'll be fine.

Haha, saw that one today. I was waiting to pull out at a T junction, car approaching from my right with his left indicator on. First of all I thought sweet I'm off he's pulling in to the road I'm on, paused for a second and realised he wasn't slowing down so I waited.. Surprise surprise he went straight ahead, would have collected me if I'd gone.

i nearly had an event with one such rider while riding a quiet 100k road.
it features a one lane bridge, which i always, always slow down before reaching.
in the hundreds of times ive done that road, i dont recall ever encountering another vehicle coming the other way. so this time i thought, i will do the bridge at 100, instead of the normal 70-75. my gut said, slow down, just in case, so i did.
lucky, cos coming the other way, in the middle of the unmarked road, was a warp 10 bike. had i been on the bridge, there would have been a head on. as it was, i had to brake hardish to move out of path. he didnt even waver on his line when he saw me.
normally, this road offers awesome visibility ahead... the road sorta meets on an apex at the bridge and has another road joining at the same point, so you can look across a field to see whats coming. i never saw the bike until he was on the bridge and i doubt he saw me until that point either.

so my contribution will be LISTEN TO YOUR GUT! at times, stomach acid is smarter than brain mass.

also, better late than never. if you get caught in traffic or whatever and need to be somewhere, its better to get there late than end up in an ambulance or worse. nothing is worth more than self preservation.

Be aware that other motorcyclists can assume you have seen them when they approach your mirrors at warp speed.

Beware of low flying hornets that can find their way inside your lid.

They are scarey things as they wander along the the perimiter of your helmet, particularly unnerving when they step off the padding of your helemt and touch the soft skin by the side of your eye DAMHIK.

Ride in a manner as to be 'Slow in, fast out'. You should never overcook a corner that way.

    Don't ride angry...

Relax and don't grip the bars too tight.

    Don't ride cold.

Keep your eyes looking where you want to go. DON'T fixate on that patch of gravel at the corner's edge etc. Always look through the corner to where you want to go.
