Stripping down and building up the project bike...

Riding the ZZR through winter as usual, that's the only time it gets a wash.

in a few months (probably when it gets really cold) i'm gonna strip all the paint back, including the rusted chrome on the exhaust and respray it black, then sell it before the rust starts coming through the paint again

    Arrow Well.

My normal ride is sweet. However I'm about to do another winter project after several years off. The plan is that by the start of summer I'll have a nice legal bike to sell off at a profit

I'm just wondering what the legality of neons is.. most people I ask say different things .

Not visibile from the front or back? (only reflection etc)

Not on top of the bike (duuh)...

And any restrictions on colours (I suppose red and white would be rather stupid)

I can't really thing of anything else.

So does anyone know what the law says?

Replacing some grazed fairing pannels, firing a set of slicks on it, taking it to the masses in May.

Interesting pics. Would be interested in seeing front-on and rear-view pics of the bike at a distance at night to see how visible the glow is.

Certainly looks like the "I didn't see him" defence would be summarily dismissed.

According to the new regs they are legal as long as the no red at front and no white at rear rules are observed and the actual source of the light (the neon itself) is not visible - just its glow.
