Bike knocked over by GREEN HONDA 4WD with CUSTOM PLATE in KARORI

Soooo just finished patching my bike up after I damaged it a few week ago, parked by Karori shopping mall just now (an hour ago), come out and it's been knocked over and damaged AGAIN. Witness said it was the car I had parked behind, which we both remember as being a green Honda four wheel drive with a personalised plate - but neither of us got the rego. Woman just drove off. My mate thinks he saw that vehicle over in Northland a few minutes later.
If anyone sees this vehicle or it sounds familiar, if they could PM me the rego that'd be great - I'm pretty sure if I saw it I'd remember.

That'll teach me for going to a quiz night instead of the wednesday night ride...

Did you get the details of the witness? and, maybe approach the mall. They might have security video. It might be hard to prove anything without much eveidence

Yeah, I realise... I have details of someone who works at the mall and talked to the witness, and I checked but there were no security cameras in the area. It's possible that the woman didn't notice (mayyybe) and so I'm hoping if I track her down then there won't be a fight over it.

That sucks mate - hopefully she simply didn't notice (could be likely with a tap perhaps) rather than being an asshole and just driving off...
Learn basic maintenance as motorcycle boots are not comfortable for walking in

I think this is quite possible. It was on a gentle slope, so she could easily have reversed a bit, tapped it just enough to knock it over, and then headed off. There's every chance she lives in the area so I'm going to go for a bit of a cruise (minus a wing mirror and with my fairing rattling) to see if I can spot the vehicle tomorrow evening.

Always good to be an optimist. Bikes are pretty loud though when they are knocked over (wished I didn't know that) But with a stereo going it would probably be very easily to not even notice.

Good luck in getting some justice!

um, sorry to be a cunt, but why are you parking behind cars? Don't do it bro. Park somewhere where they have to do a 99 point turn to get you.

Even if there're no camera filming the actual event, there maybe ones available that caught the car that did it, where you can get the number plate. Once you have number plate and if the car has damages that matches your bike then insurance can sort it out.

Yes. Will not be doing this again. I thought I was being responsible, because it meant there was space for another car to park, whereas if I'd parked in front of the SUV then noone else would have been able to. Won't be doing it again, parking on the footpath and getting a ticket beats patching up the bike AGAIN.

IF you ever get a ticket write a letter explaining why. If its not right in the city they may let you off. It will help if you can send them a photocopy of any bills for repair work.
