Yeah, mininova got some legal pressure. In the end they caved and I believe they removed all copyright infringing torrents. Ie: all the stuff that people actually want. Doh.
www.kickasstorrents.com is meant to be the new torrent site of choice. I'm going where ever slicknick goes though.

Google "torrent whatever-I-want-to-find" and you don't have to worry about any particular site
But with experience you can choose the resultant links from the sites you like/know work well/have signed up with.
