    GSXR owners club of NZ

I'm in the process of startin a GSX-R owners club for New Zealanders.

Similar sort of thing to HOG only (obviously!) you gotta own a GSX-R whatever to join.

    Good idea? Bad idea?

There will be a small annual subscription, to cover costs of news letter and website.

Activities will include an annual, national rally, trackdays, social gatherings and discounts from various sponsors.

To join, you'll have to provide the VIN number of your bike so as to prove ownership.

    What you reckon?

Sounds like this is going to be the biggest club in NZ! Imagine the future for it. You might end up holding major race events like a GSXR cup serise!

    Where do I join?

I'd like to join but I'm missing the X-R, and about 100bhp. Seriously is there a Suzuki Owners Club? You could always set up as the 'miscreant' section.

There was in the mid nineties a great club called "Club Suzuki". They had track days and all sorts, but it sort of died. Wellington was the last place to be active but the interest dwindled.

GReat idea - but what about the other Suzuki performance bikes? Seperate club or a quiet nod based on HP?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Well, the way I see it, there's no other Jap bike on the plannet that inspires the passion GSXR owners have.

Hayabusa owners would be welcome, but I really think that a club specifically designed for Gixxers is the way to go.

I mean, the majority of Bandit riders are going to be interested in totally different things to the majority of GSXR riders.

Don't want to sound all eliteist (sp) or nothing but GSXR's rule.

And if you don't ride one, you're not cool enough for my club. Sorry.

I've got so much HOG training it's not funny mate.

But I'd like to organise it something similar to RAT.

    .
    And what might they be?
Riding with both hands on the bars?
    A firm grasp of reality?

There's is/was the K club in NZ. I'm (was) a member. That one died about 3 years ago but ex members still get together. Best part was the Warm Kiwi 'Rally'.

I'm now in Kawasaki Riders Club (Oz).

    Oh yeah:
