    Cost of "motard kits"?

So this isn't a pisstake, but how bloody much does two rims, oversize disk, tires and a sprocket cost, when dirtbikes that should go for a couple grand, go as non road legal motards for 8 grand plus? Is there a generic kit you can buy for different models available somewhere in NZ?

    Cheap, compared to F1

Wheels $1500 - $2000 + (specific to suit model, sometimes with “adaptors”)
    Sprocket rear $100
    Disk rear $250?
    Disk front $500
    Calliper spacer $100 (with disk?)
    Tyres, tubes $500+
    Chain $150?
    Axle armour $150
    Hand guards $200

Couldn't do it much cheaper with new parts?

That’s before any engine/suspension/bodywork mods. Slipper clutch.
Tire warmers, spare wheels, lap timer, tacho.
    Van, shad, generator........
