Fine Payments

I have seen in mentioned in other threads as a side note that apparently after being issued a speeding ticket from a cop you have two chances to pay before court action is taken. If you don't pay the fine in the first 28 days, then I believe that they send you another notice in the post giving you another 28 days to pay. Is this true?

I know others have mentioned it, but I just want to make sure that its not one of those things that have changed as of recently. I really don't want to be summoned to court or anything.

Yep its all true...you have a first 28 days and then they send you a reminder notice and you have another 28 days until any action is taken.

I always wait for the reminder notice as they also send you a prepaid envelope which means I save 40cents

Same with parking tickets etc
