Eventually pulled a couple over, gave 'em a warning and asked them to pass the word around at the rally to get everybody to slow down a bit before somebody got hurt or it cost them money.

And we wonder why they crash??
Are you on duty next Sunday for the start of the Southern Cross? I expect most will be passing through your area around 2:00 - 2:30 pm.
    Time to ride

Heard about this one from the guy who saw it happen (following the bike)... Says it was an older guy in a Maxima pulled out in front the biker... says he didn't see him... but guy following bike says the biker had a very very dim headlight as the biker had just passed him, so with lights of the car behind the bike, it may have been difficult to see. He died pretty much instantly, not pretty. Police asked if he was speeding... he said no as it doesn't really matter now... any RIP

Yeah ... heard the same thing from rellies who were coming up for a wedding and were on the scene a couple of minutes after it happened. Apparantly the bike was in a passing lane and the car pulled from the left hand lane into the passing lane ....

Nah, be stacking ZZZZs after working nightshift (or maybe just out of bed).

Ok, thats what I meant. From reading your post, I thought you were getting at the point that whatever the accident, the rider is partly at fault, which is not true.

Bicycles are not as fast as motorbikes, yes, but they wear less gear, and I guess you have never passed 80 on a bicycle. I also hope you don't under-estimate the speed of bicycles and pull out in front of them in roundabouts. I hit the back off a car, and messed my face up pretty good. I didn't have nice clothing etc, just a helmet. And that doesn't help your face.

If you really tried, you could avoid just about anything. Just ride like a nana But honestly, where is the fun in that?? Yes, you should definitely try to learn from mistakes. That's what makes you wise...

In light of circumstances today, and my general demeanour, I'm going to do something that I very rarely do:

Just shut the fuck up Gremlin.
