    What octane gas? NXR125 ES

    Hello.

before i start, yes i have searched and there is nothing on the NXR125 other than some old review.

ive done about 350k's on it. and my tank hit the reserve, so i filled it up with 91 from shell.

is that all good? because in the manual it says premium gasoline, which i assume is 95? but honda said it should be sweet with 91.

what should i use? what happens if i use 95? would it be smoother?

because it is having a bit more vibrations.... and its not gonna cause any damage or anything is it?

    cheers

If it runs ok on 91 then you could stick with it.....
if it "pings on hard acceleration/full load you Need 95 or more octane.
You will probably find out that you get more mileage out of your tank on 95.....
If your bike doesn't like 91, ride it more sedate and top up with higher octane petrol to slowly "boost" your octane levels......
    No worries.....
    bike will be fine
Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

Never any harm in running the highest - and there is 2/10ths of no real difference in the cost for the size of a bike tank.

BP 98 - is my fav fuel and I always run it - Moble 97.5 as a second choice and 91 only if I have to.
