Stopping mirror vibrating

As the title says...
I searched but couldn't find anything on this. If you do pointing me in the right direction would be nice.

Fitted a new aftermarket mirror as mine fell off the night before a warrant

Only cost me $30 but vibrates like hell at anything over about 20kph making it almost impossible to see whats behind me other than blurry shapes.
Any ideas? I've tried tightening the mirror and all that sort of thing so I've run out of ideas.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bin it and get a good quality bar-end mirror,they work a treat.

Welcome to Kawasaki motorcycle mirrors.

The only thing you can do is ad weights to the bottom or back of the mirror to change its natural harmonic resonance or buy some bar end mirrors.

What about mounting rubber washers between the mirrors and the bars?

Wonderful... Its not even a kawa mirror though! The old one was bloody brilliant never had a problem...untill it fell off that is.

Who cares what's behind you? It shouldn't get past if you're on a motorbike.

this works. Buy some small lead shot. drill a hole inthe back of the mirror and dropin a small handfull of shot.
Fill the entire back of the mirror with expanding foam
The shot kills the vibes and the foam holds the shot in place.

This makes a hell of a difference. Most mirrors are fitted with some form of rubber strip between the body/fairing and the mirror to damp the vibration. However, replacement mirrors never seen to include one of these and on old bikes that have been down a few times they are often missing. I fitted these on my bike which lacked them and the difference was considerable.

That's a gasket to prevent water rusting the screws and mounts.
OEM mirrors don't vibrate as much because their natural resonant frequency is chosen to reduce vibration.
