Kia ora koutou,
As organisations involved in the ACC Futures Collective, I want to let you know about our upcoming seminar, “Navigating the ACC”. The free lunchtime session will be delivered by John Miller, a much-respected ACC lawyer. We’d love it if you could advertise this session to your members: as well as being timely, it will no doubt be very useful. The session will cover:
* What are your entitlements?
* Different kinds of ACC compensation
* How do you challenge an ACC decision?
* The tribunal or Dispute Resolution Services Limited (DRSL)
JOHN MILLER is a Wellington-based lawyer specialising in ACC matters and crime victims' compensation. He is the recipient of the Human Rights Commission’s Millennium Human Rights Award, for his work in helping seriously injured people. In 2002 he was named the Wellingtonian of the Year by The Dominion Post for his success in helping ACC claimants wrongfully denied their entitlements. In 2006, Victoria University dedicated an annual John Miller Community Service Award to the law student who demonstrates an outstanding community service contribution.
If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to contact me (details below).
Nga mihi mahana,
Alex, Wellington Community Law Centre
