    Condition of Mangatoa Road?

I am wondering about the condition of Mangatoa Road - runs from Marakopa south towards Waikawau, through the forest.

Google maps' Street View shows an unsealed section which doesn't look too bad in the pictures. But who knows what the road is like now?

If you know this road, could you please let me know how long the unsealed section is and just what condition it is in?

    Thanks.

Hey there, if you are looking at heading from Marakopa to Awakino there is a gravel section @ 13kms which is hardpacked & very easy at 40 - 50km, there is a pic in the LOR grp of scooter parked up in the middle of it..... awesome loop through there @ 200km from Kihikihi through Te Anga/Marakopa/Awakino with a quick rip through the Gorge to Piopio when you looking at going through??
I Used to jog but the ice cubes kept falling out of my glass

Not sure exactly when - soon as I get a fine Sunday I guess - which would cut this weekend out I think...

Headed out to do that on Labour Weekend but got a flat tyre instead...

Haven't had to as yet. BUT I do use it to pump tyres when needed. Much quicker than a foot pump...works a treat.
