    MX bike scale models

    Afternoon all,

Quiet afternoon at work so have been searching the web to see if anyone sells scale models of MX bikes. Prefer die-cast but I guess a kit set would be alright too.

Would ideally like a CRF but just keen to see what's out there.

    Cheers,
    RJ

    Damn that was quick.

I guess a Red '06 CRF450R would look reasonably similar to my '04 CRF250R. Do you have some for sale?

Shit, theres heaps here in aussie, at a shop called 'hobbyco' in Sydney - got an 07 KX450f for my sons collection, but they have all the jappas... including a few two smokers.. see pics

Im heading home (Wgtn) first thing in the morning, but will be back in a few weeks, can send some over if anyones keen .. they are approx $20AUD for the 1:12 and $50 for the 1:6.

The shop is a big kids dream .. 2 stories of tanks, cars, ships, planes, scifi, RC stuff even bloody rockets that fly up a couple of km and take pictures for ya.

    Point your dealer here: http://www.northern.co.nz/products/3...torcycles.aspx
These are the ones that Cycletreads have, but your local dealer can order one if you don't want to go to Cycletreads.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

New Ray is the brand that makes most of them, they arent high detail models but are cheap enough. Would be good to see a high end brand make a good range of them like they do for the road bikes.

    Thanks for all the replies.

I've ordered an '06 CRF450R from Cycletreads. Will check out the detail on it when I receive it.

I have a good collection of 1/18 McLarens (my family name) at home - have spent far too much money on them over the years but thankfully they've all appreciated in value.

Hey barty, tossing up between making and buying for a skid plate on the new bike.

Any chance you could price me up whats available? I know Devol do one ($239rrp according to Northen's public site) and I think Zeta do aswell and who knows who else.

    For an 07 RMZ450

    Much appreciated,

    James

Well the intention was ride it...

But I guess I could follow your lead and talk about riding it then talk some more then sell it and talk about how I want to be riding it?

It's a piece of piss, low seat height and relatively light and well balanced for a thou so a smaller chap such as myself doesn't struggle as much as you would imagine. And it's brilliant fun
